According to sources from Sky Germany, forwards Nick Woltemade and Kai Havertz are reportedly guaranteed a place in Germany's squad for the 2026 World Cup, provided they remain fit. This news comes as Julian Nagelsmann, the national team coach, continues to shape his roster.
Nagelsmann has reportedly expressed strong confidence in Woltemade, even amidst the player's challenging period at Newcastle United. A recent phone call between the two underscored the coach's belief in the young striker's potential.
Kai Havertz is another player highly valued by Nagelsmann. His versatility, being able to operate effectively both as a striker and a number 10, offers crucial tactical flexibility for the team's attack.
However, despite enjoying the most productive season of his career with VfB Stuttgart, Deniz Undav still needs to fully impress Nagelsmann to secure his spot. His role within the national team setup is reportedly less defined compared to his club, partly due to the significant differences in playing style between Stuttgart and the German national squad.
Furthermore, Nagelsmann is also considering calling up either Niclas Füllkrug or Tim Kleindienst.
